Hope you've set your clocks

In half a minute, it will no longer be five minutes after 11am. The concept of time never ceases to amaze me. The time changed (again) yesterday and I pulled this photo out of my archives to commemorate the beginning of BST.

If I were you, Abisola, I wouldn't let this picture to sit in the archive for too long. smile Though, I would most definitely convert it to b&w- the background colors are so bright and poisonous, they compete with the watches for attention. smile
Abisola Fatokun: Thanks VZ! I'll give it a shot in b&w and see how it comes out. I do see what you mean about the background colors.
Really Noice composition and capture. I personally find the burnt out highlight areas more distracting than the colours. A tighter crop at the bottom to cut out that line of highlight areas would make it a much stronger composition.
Abisola Fatokun: Thanks for the tip! That'll teach me to not lower the screen brightness of my laptop when I'm processing photos smile
Bright and colourful - I like the lighting in this shot. The subjects are good too, well defined and popping out against a beautifully blurred background. I suppose it's because you were very close to the pocket watches (f/7.1 usually would give too large a DOF to blur the background). Is that a macro lens you were using?
Abisola Fatokun: Thanks Duane. You're right, it was a macro lens.

And if you're gonna do what everyone else has suggested, Bisola, if you straightened it, too, this would make a fine stock photo! Seriously.
Abisola Fatokun: That's the biggest compliment you could've paid me, Ginnie! I'll give it another shot and see what comes out of it. Thanks for all your kind (and helpful) words.
Lovely shot.
Abisola Fatokun: many thanks!
