I wrote this poem for my valentine a couple of years ago... It feels strange opening myself up in this way, but every so often I reach outside of my comfort zone and I guess this is one of those times.
Happy Valentine's day, baby.
Clear white teeth as though of purest ivory
Polished clean and bright they tell a story
Of a fair maiden who makes my heart soar in glory
And for whom any amount would dirty her dowry
Her smile melts my heart and reduces me to a whimpering mess
Her voice makes my composure and resolve keep even less and less
My life has indeed become the witness
To this devastating smile which implodes my heart, deep in my breast
Her smile, KT. Feb, 2006.
