photoblog image chew this, baby!

chew this, baby!

Imagine my surprise when I saw this squirrel leaping past me with the 'big green thing' in its mouth... it was all I could do to whip out my trusty camera and capture it's return home after a successful foraging :)

PP: excessive sharpening :p, and a brutal crop!

Abisola Fatokun: LOL! I had a big smile plastered on my face when I saw that I was able to capture it. I'm yet to see a red squirrel, though... the grey ones seem to have taken over completely sad

This is one of those leaping squirrels I've heard talked about. I hear they can jump 6 feet! (Nah, I was just foolin.)

Love the piece of large fruit in his mouth. Mighty resourceful little guy (or girl) isn't he?
Abisola Fatokun: yes Kay, they also have 3 feet and two tails! they're very common around Lake Michigan and are known to be able to eat coconuts whole :p
He is resourceful! I hope he'll be able to chew the fruit (or whatever it is!)

Abisola Fatokun: Thanks Ginnie. It almost took me by surprise!
gringringrin I always did admire your quick reflexes. Lovely catch!
Abisola Fatokun: mate, you know I'm quick to the draw... it's firing the trigger that just messes things up grin

Abisola Fatokun: lol. I hope it won't choke on it! I think it's being overzealous with this catch!! thanks for dropping by.
Great shot! It looks like one of those fluorescent green tennis balls in his mouth or is it an apple?
Ingrid
Abisola Fatokun: Not sure what it is Ingrid. Whatever it is, though, is way bigger than its head :p ... and that is not good!

What timing! That lifts it out of the ordinary for this subject. You won't see many captured like this.
Abisola Fatokun: Thanks chunter. I was very lucky to have been able to capture it as I'm sure I must have startled it!
LOL, I laughed out loud when this popped up on my screen grin
Abisola Fatokun: I know. It does seem funny... just a greedy squirrel, I'd say. Thanks for dropping by!
