photoblog image Peeling paint

Peeling paint

It was astonishing to look beneath the peeling paint on this railing and see that there is a lovely green coating on the iron bars! Looks like the weather's only revealing a different kind of beauty beneath the paint.
I thought I'd leave the cobwebs on the bars to show the neglect being suffered by them as well.

Beautiful job here, Bisola. I can almost feel the paint peeling...I just want to reach out and take some off right now! grin
Abisola Fatokun: Thanks Kay, I was wondering what effect this image would evoke in viewers...
advice: Don't reach out to take some off, you may have to get through your monitor to reach it! smile

I'm a compulsive peeler myself, Abisola, whenever I see paint like this. It does have its charm, doesn't it!
Abisola Fatokun: lol. surprisingly, Ginnie, I didn't fell an urge to peel this one! probably because of the cobwebs smile . Thanks for dropping by.
cool image!
they could use a new karate kid. smile
Abisola Fatokun: LOL! true. Too bad we've 'lost' Mr Miyagi...
Cool Shot Bisola!
Abisola Fatokun: thanks ChaCha. I was starting to envy you of the opportunities you have shooting in NY but I thought: 'make the best of what you have'. So I'm gonna be doing a few London shots. fingers crossed!
Well spotted! I love peeling paint. You're right to make the best of what you've got. Anyway, London is a great place for taking photos.
